A monumental participatory artwork experienced by thousands of visitors.
Correfoc is more than an art installation. It is a cultural bridge connecting centuries-old Mediterranean traditions with one of the world’s most important contemporary gatherings of creativity and participation.
Inspired by the living fire rituals of Valencia and reimagined for Black Rock City, Correfoc invites thousands of participants to experience a shared language of transformation, celebration, and community.
The project brings together artists, designers, engineers, performers, and cultural organizations on both sides of the Atlantic — where heritage meets innovation, and fire becomes a universal language.
Across cultures and throughout history, communities have gathered around fire. Fire marks transitions. Fire creates memories. Fire brings people together.
In an increasingly digital world, shared physical experiences have become more valuable than ever. Correfoc creates one of those experiences. Participants do not simply view the artwork — they enter it, gather within it, and become part of it. The project transforms spectators into participants, and public space into community.
