Partnership & Support BookBurning Man 2026

A bridge of fire between two continents.

Correfoc is more than an art installation. It is a cultural bridge connecting centuries-old Mediterranean traditions with one of the world’s most important contemporary gatherings of creativity and participation.

01 / Premise

Where tradition meets experimentation.

Inspired by the living fire rituals of Valencia and reimagined for Black Rock City, Correfoc invites thousands of participants to experience a shared language of transformation, celebration, and community.

The project brings together artists, designers, engineers, performers, and cultural organizations on both sides of the Atlantic — where heritage meets innovation, and fire becomes a universal language.

02 / Mission

Why this project matters.

Across cultures and throughout history, communities have gathered around fire. Fire marks transitions. Fire creates memories. Fire brings people together.

In an increasingly digital world, shared physical experiences have become more valuable than ever. Correfoc creates one of those experiences. Participants do not simply view the artwork — they enter it, gather within it, and become part of it. The project transforms spectators into participants, and public space into community.

03 / Impact

Four dimensions of impact.

I.

Artistic

A monumental participatory artwork experienced by thousands of visitors.

II.

Cultural

Introduction of Mediterranean fire traditions to an international audience.

III.

Educational

IV.

Community

Collaboration between artists, volunteers, engineers, performers, and supporters across multiple countries.

04 / Legacy

The burn is the beginning, not the end.

Correfoc is designed to generate a lasting cultural archive and a foundation for future collaborations exploring ritual, fire, public space, and community.
